BioBrew Ltd, the parent company of LiveBrew, was founded by Andre Prassinos and Don Pearson in 2009 with a simple mission: to bring the finest probiotic technology possible to the New Zealand market. 

BioBrew was launched through sales of its production prototype to the NZ dairy sector. In 2010, a 4 year collaboration with Lincoln University, generously supported by Callaghan Innovation, produced the current range of animal health products: CalfBrew, PetBrew, StockBrew, and EquiBrew, along with their pasture and crop biostimulant product, AgriBrew.

Work with researchers at Callaghan Innovation's Gracefield campus began in 2017 to transfer the technology developed in the animal health sector into a new human health product, LiveBrew, which was launched in NZ in 2018.

Today, BioBrew Ltd and LiveBrew Ltd are proudly 100% NZ owned and operated. R&D collaborations contine with Lincoln University, and other fine research institutions, to this day, also with continuing support from Callaghan Innovation.
